Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mine by McArthur Binion was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,065.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by McArthur Binion achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work DNA Study: III in May last year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mine von McArthur Binion wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.065,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von McArthur Binion erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit DNA Study: III im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22).
