In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work DNA Study: VI by McArthur Binion. The »bidding war« ended at USD 201,600.00 (€ 164,840.56), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by McArthur Binion - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work DNA Study: III, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).

Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit DNA Study: VI von McArthur Binion zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 164.840,56) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von McArthur Binion mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit DNA Study: III beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22) versteigert wurde.
