Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II, which included the work Reveries by Maxfield Parrish. The price achieved of USD 882,000.00 (€ 854,402.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maxfield Parrish have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hilltop in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reveries von Maxfield Parrish zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 882.000,00 (€ 854.402,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maxfield Parrish auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hilltop im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.660.000,00 (€ 6.451.612,90).
