It achieved a price of USD 3,287,000.00 (€ 2,912,199.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxfield Parrish - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hilltop, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.287.000,00 (€ 2.912.199,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxfield Parrish mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hilltop beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 6.660.000,00 (€ 6.451.612,90) versteigert wurde.
