Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.151,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthijs Maris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The four mills im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 205.000,00.
