Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: The last thing you remember was staring at the little white tile (Hers) and The last thing you remember was staring at the little white tile (His) by Matthew Brannon was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,418.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew Brannon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Other People'S Money; People Who Divide People, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,940.26).
