A top price for Matias Faldbakken
When the work Untitled (Mdf) by Matias Faldbakken was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 60,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 262,500.00 (€ 248,156.55). This high result makes Untitled (Mdf) the most expensive artwork by Matias Faldbakken that we have observed at auctions so far.
