Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Newz! by Math Bass was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,477.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Math Bass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Newz!, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Newz! von Math Bass wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.477,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Math Bass mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Newz! beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72) versteigert wurde.
