Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Newz! by Math Bass was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,477.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Math Bass have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newz! in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Newz! von Math Bass wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.477,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Math Bass auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Newz! im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72).
