Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Newz! by Math Bass. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,879.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Math Bass have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newz! in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Newz! von Math Bass zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 12.879,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Math Bass auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Newz! im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72).
