Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Math Bass could be acquired at Christies in London in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions auction, the work Newz! (Three Works) changed hands for GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,344.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Math Bass achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Newz! in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Math Bass konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions wechselte die Arbeit Newz! (Three Works) für GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.344,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Math Bass erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Newz! im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72).
