The work Newz! by Math Bass was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in May 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,908.24), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Math Bass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Newz!, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72).

Die Arbeit Newz! von Math Bass wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.908,24) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Math Bass mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Newz! beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72) versteigert wurde.
