Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Truxtun by Mary Weatherford was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in February 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 325,000.00 (€ 285,613.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Other works by Mary Weatherford have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September last year the work Coney Island was auctioned for USD 478,800.00 (€ 489,420.42).
