Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Violetta by Mary Weatherford was auctioned at Bonhams in July this year. The price achieved of USD 10,240.00 (€ 9,292.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Weatherford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coney Island in September last year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 489,420.42).
