Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rose pink cave by Mary Weatherford was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,678.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Weatherford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coney Island in September last year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 489,420.42).
