Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Swan Lake Series) by Mary Weatherford was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,167.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Weatherford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coney Island in September last year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 489,420.42).
