Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French Screen by Mary Heilmann was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. It achieved a price of USD 302,400.00 (€ 247,990.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Heilmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Passenger, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
