This artwork by Mary Heilmann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Saturday Night sold for USD 2,167.50 (€ 2,070.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Heilmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Passenger in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mary Heilmann erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Saturday Night für USD 2.167,50 (€ 2.070,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Heilmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Passenger im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
