Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black Tile by Mary Heilmann was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,569.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Heilmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Passenger in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Black Tile von Mary Heilmann kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.569,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Heilmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Passenger im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
