Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Yellow, Red + Blue Drawing by Mary Heilmann was worth USD 126,000.00 (€ 117,416.83) to a buyer in May last year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Mary Heilmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Passenger in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mary Heilmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Passenger im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
