Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Art Day Sale, which included the work The Fruits Are Ripe, September by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan. The price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 65,596.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).
