Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blossoming Trees by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 378,458.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats), which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 314.500,00 (€ 378.458,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martiros Sergeevich Saryan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 623.650,00 (€ 768.273,52) versteigert wurde.
