Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain Valley by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The price achieved of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 115,574.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).
