Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Apple Trees In Blossom changed hands for GBP 118,750.00 (€ 142,538.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Martiros Sergeevich Saryan konnte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Apple Trees In Blossom für GBP 118.750,00 (€ 142.538,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martiros Sergeevich Saryan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 623.650,00 (€ 768.273,52).
