Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountains Near Tehran by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 176,293.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).

Die Arbeit Mountains Near Tehran von Martiros Sergeevich Saryan wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 176.293,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martiros Sergeevich Saryan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 623.650,00 (€ 768.273,52).
