Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 441,000.00 (€ 427,201.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Wong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quong Yuen Shing & Co., which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,260,375.00 (€ 1,174,517.75).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 441.000,00 (€ 427.201,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Wong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quong Yuen Shing & Co. beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.260.375,00 (€ 1.174.517,75) versteigert wurde.
