The work Divine by Martin Wong was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 239,400.00 (€ 231,909.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Martin Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quong Yuen Shing & Co. in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,375.00 (€ 1,174,517.75).

Die Arbeit Divine von Martin Wong kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 231.909,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quong Yuen Shing & Co. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.375,00 (€ 1.174.517,75).
