Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Work No. 1752 by Martin Creed for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,680.32). This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Creed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 118,869.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Work No. 1752 von Martin Creed für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.680,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open | Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Creed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 118.869,06).
