Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Centerfold or Miss February by Martha Rosler was sold in the New Museum Benefit Auction auction at Phillips in New York in November 2007. The auction ended at the price of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,169.93), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martha Rosler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 121,561.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Centerfold or Miss February von Martha Rosler wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion New Museum Benefit Auction bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.169,93) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martha Rosler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 121.561,60).
