Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Point and Shoot by Martha Rosler. The price achieved of USD 11,430.00 (€ 10,815.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martha Rosler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 121,561.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Point and Shoot von Martha Rosler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.430,00 (€ 10.815,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martha Rosler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 121.561,60).
