Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,320.00 (€ 18,369.19). Admittedly, works by Martha Rosler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 121,561.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hothouse, or Harem from the series Body Beautiful, or Beauty Knows No Pain von Martha Rosler kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 7 - zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.320,00 (€ 18.369,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martha Rosler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 121.561,60).
