Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mark Morrisroe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2007. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Three works: Untitled, Kimberly, The Eye sold for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,178.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Morrisroe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, NYC (Jonathan and Stafanelli) in October last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 40,587.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Morrisroe erzielte im März 2007 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wurde die Arbeit Three works: Untitled, Kimberly, The Eye für USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.178,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Morrisroe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, NYC (Jonathan and Stafanelli) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 40.587,88).
