Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Baby Stefanelli), 1984 by Mark Morrisroe was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,246.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Morrisroe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, NYC (Jonathan and Stafanelli) in October last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 40,587.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Baby Stefanelli), 1984 von Mark Morrisroe wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.246,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Morrisroe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, NYC (Jonathan and Stafanelli) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 40.587,88).
