Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Albert Memorial by Mark Innerst was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,788.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Innerst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Distant View in May last year with an auction result of USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,876.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Albert Memorial von Mark Innerst im September 2011 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.788,31) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Innerst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Distant View im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 32.876,71).
