Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Mujeres En La Mesa by Mario Carreño. The price achieved of USD 300,000.00 (€ 272,257.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Carreño have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cortadores De Caña in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,368,444.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mujeres En La Mesa von Mario Carreño zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 272.257,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Carreño auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cortadores De Caña im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.368.444,48).
