Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Margaret Kilgallen was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,719.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Margaret Kilgallen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Salt, Sweet, Ch, Wheet) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 447,000.00 (€ 400,932.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Margaret Kilgallen kam im April 2015 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.719,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Margaret Kilgallen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Salt, Sweet, Ch, Wheet) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 447.000,00 (€ 400.932,82).
