Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Outsider(s), which included the work Tokion Neo Graffiti Project 3D – 1999 by Margaret Kilgallen. The price achieved of EUR 1,355.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Margaret Kilgallen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Salt, Sweet, Ch, Wheet) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 447,000.00 (€ 400,932.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Outsider(s) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tokion Neo Graffiti Project 3D – 1999 von Margaret Kilgallen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.355,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Margaret Kilgallen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Salt, Sweet, Ch, Wheet) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 447.000,00 (€ 400.932,82).
