This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marcel Delmotte; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Les Colonnes D’Hercule sold at auction in February 2019 with the realized price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,079.71).
