In December 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Marc Vaux. The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 872.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Vaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Marc Vaux zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 872,91) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Vaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88).
