Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marc Vaux could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Ov.M.1. changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,418.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Vaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Vaux konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Ov.M.1. für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.418,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Vaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88).
