The work Spanner by Marc Vaux was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,516.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marc Vaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Spanner von Marc Vaux kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.516,82) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Vaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88).
