It achieved a price of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 57,141.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Rivera - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Espeso para una catedral, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 120,500.00 (€ 157,609.27).

Die Arbeit Metamorfosis (Medioevo) (Metamorphosis (Medieval)) von Manuel Rivera wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 57.141,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Rivera mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Espeso para una catedral beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 120.500,00 (€ 157.609,27) versteigert wurde.
