The work Espeso para una catedral by Manuel Rivera was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary ArtDay Sale (Morning Session) auction at Christies in London in February 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 120,500.00 (€ 157,609.27), 51% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Espeso para una catedral the most expensive artwork by Manuel Rivera that we have observed at auctions so far.
