Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Metamorfosis (Gris) by Manuel Rivera was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 44,400.00 (€ 50,513.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Rivera - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Espeso para una catedral, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 120,500.00 (€ 157,609.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Metamorfosis (Gris) von Manuel Rivera wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.400,00 (€ 50.513,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Rivera mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Espeso para una catedral beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 120.500,00 (€ 157.609,27) versteigert wurde.
