Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Espejo Roto No. 8 by Manuel Rivera was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March 2019. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,820.09), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manuel Rivera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Espeso para una catedral in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 120,500.00 (€ 157,609.27).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Espejo Roto No. 8 von Manuel Rivera wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.820,09) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Rivera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Espeso para una catedral im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.500,00 (€ 157.609,27).
