In February 2013 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction), which included the work Espejo Para Un Son De Campanas III (Mirror For A Bell'S Toll III) by Manuel Rivera. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 109,250.00 (€ 126,900.07), 37% above the upper estimate. Other works by Manuel Rivera have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 120,500.00 (€ 157,609.27) in February 2008 for the work Espeso para una catedral.
