Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Foxglove by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 163,800.00 (€ 167,433.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highpower in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Foxglove von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 163.800,00 (€ 167.433,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Highpower im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59).
