Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Luis Gordillo was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,116.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luis Gordillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trio in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 192,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Luis Gordillo wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.116,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luis Gordillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trio im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 192.250,00.
