In the The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two auction, the work Sicubo sold for EUR 27,150.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Gordillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trio in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 192,250.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis Gordillo erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two wurde die Arbeit Sicubo für EUR 27.150,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Gordillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trio im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 192.250,00.
