Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tombeau D'Aurélia (Dessins Pour Aurélia) by Louis Marcoussis was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,111.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Marcoussis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bocal Au Poisson, Livre, Guitare Devant Le Balcon in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 480,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tombeau D'Aurélia (Dessins Pour Aurélia) von Louis Marcoussis kam im März 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.111,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Marcoussis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bocal Au Poisson, Livre, Guitare Devant Le Balcon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 480.750,00.
